2009 ZURICH'S EVENTS

The Swiss excel at business, but do not neglect enjoying life. Although the country has a rich history and numerous prestigious cultural attractions, the countryside and mountains are the magnets that attract most tourists. Whether you travel to Switzerland for skiing, hiking, mountain climbing or just sight-seeing, you will remember the scenic vistas for the rest of your life. Saying that Switzerland is a beautiful country is an understatement



Street Par : It is the second biggest rave event in the world after the Love Parade in Berlin (1st or 2nd week-end of August)

The 18th Street Parade will be held on Saturday, 8 August 2009. Love Mobiles applications may be submitted until 28 February 2009

AUDITIONS are coming up!

....for “Aladdin and his Magic Lamp”, a traditional British Panto to be performed on 28th/29th November and 5th December 2009 in Menzingen. The Auditions will take place at the International School, Walterswil, on the following dates:

Saturday 14th March between 14.00 and 18.00 hrs.
Sunday 15th March between 16.00 and 18. 00 hrs.
looking for:• Traditional principal roles, may include singing and movements• Chorus members, dancers and singers • Childrens chorus

Knabenschiessen or "shooting boys": traditional festival (middle of September)
Sechseläuten: traditional festival (generally in April)

The (FEST) brings together Theatre groups from Zurich, Lausanne, Bern, Basel, Geneva and Zug who offer a range of comedy, drama and musicals.
In 2008 from June 5th-7th, the action is taking place 40 minutes from Zurich at the Lorzensaal in the picturesque town of Cham, near Zug.

The Mainstreet Art Centre offers painting and drawing classes and workshops for adults. Paulus Park and Breezewald Beach, both located on Lake Zurich, are available for swimming.
